In today’s article, we are covering the facts that every blonde, either natural or dyed, has to be well informed.
1. PUT THE FILTER IN THE SHOWER
The tap water contains minerals that can cause a slight change in the hair shade when mixed with chemical products. In different geographic locations, there are different admixtures in a tap water and possible options - from green to red shades. To keep the blonde color in your hair, make sure to wash your head only with filtered water!
2. USE THE "LILAC" SHAMPOO
Once the sunny days begin, your blonde hair starts turning into a pumpkin shade, in a sense, gains a pronounced orange tone. Shampoos with blue and purple pigments will save your life since they neutralize yellowness, and preserve your hair color. Here is the life hack - apply the shampoo on your hair and leave it in for a couple of minutes for the neutralization reaction to kick off.
3. USE PROTEIN MASKS
When the scales of hair cuticle are elevated, which happens almost always with colored hair, the pigment is washed out of them faster. If you close those empties with protein ingredients, you will avoid this trouble. The recommended frequency is 2 times a week.
4. WET YOUR HAIR WITH FRESH WATER BEFORE TAKING A SHOWER
Salt water, chlorine or other disinfecting chemical compounds destroy the top layer of the hair, making it fragile and dull. It is enough just to wet your hair with clean fresh water, and neither salt nor chemical components can penetrate into the core of the hair.
5. APPLY THE SUNSCREEN SPRAY
Hair terribly suffers from the ultraviolet lights, and blondes undergo the damage 3 times more often. Make sure to apply a special spray to protect it against dryness, fragility and from the discoloration.
6. REFUSE FROM THERMAL STYLING TOOLS
During the hot summer, your hair systematically gets overheated, and hot styling products make the damage worse. As a result, the hair becomes fragile and lifeless, loses its color and feels and looks like a broom.
7. DYE YOUR HAIR LESS OFTEN
Trending style "Dark roots - light ends" is relevant as never as in the summer: give your hair a little rest, especially if you use ammonia dyes.
8. CUT OFF A CENTIMETER OF HAIR ONCE A MONTH
It’s very hard and almost impossible to cure the ends of the hair, but the blonde color gets more careless look immediately as the lower border of the haircut loses its accuracy. Therefore, if you have your hair split and fluffy, accept it as a rule of maintenance to cut off at least a centimeter a month. Do not regret, once the autumn arrives, your hair will grow by that time!
