Washing extensions can seem like a hassle but let's be real, you are not washing them everyday or every other day, well at least you shouldn't do that! Anchanté Hair extensions should be washed once a month if you do not use heavy styling products on them. I personally wash my halo extensions every 3 weeks depending how heavy I have styled it with products and hot tools.
When washing your hair extensions keep in mind that it is a real human hair that is not attached to the scalp, hence, moisturize it using deep conditioner, hair oils and leave in treatments. The more you care for the product, the longer it will last you. For example, before I launched Anchanté Hair, I tested it first. Let me tell you when I say I tested it, I mean I really did everything to it to check for the quality, durability, fit and comfort, and to my surprise I still have my 6 MONTHS OLD set that has been through it all and it still looks, feels and SHINES like BRAND NEW! You may say it is a trooper, but I say the key is in the care. I made it go through hell everyday, but each time I washed or used anything on my halo extensions, I would treat it and only after I would curl, straighten or even dye it, TWICE!
Personally, I love using hair oils, especially argan and macademia oils, on my natural hair and on my Anchanté halos. I also use oil infused sprays that are more like a leave-in treatment that nourish and protect the hair while adding a beautiful natural shine to the hair.
Now, let me show you how to properly wash your Anchanté hair extensions. I would recommend to use sulfate free products when rinsing your halo hair extensions and to leave it air dry, but if you do want to blow dry it then make sure to avoid the heat on the roots. Also, do not pull on the hair, but squeeze it to get the excess water out or to shampoo it.
